M&G Farms Angel’s Touch
We purchased Angel at the Spring Show in Greenfield from Hannah of M&G Farms. Angel’s dam is a Permanent Champion and her sire attained Permanent Champion status that day. She has been a delightful addition to our herd. We haven’t seen a lot out of her in the show ring yet – but that wasn’t her fault – I put her in the wrong class. We can’t wait to see how she does this year. I’ll make sure to get her in the right class this time.
Angel was bred to Many Tracks All That Jazz (owned by Margot Cassel) for December babies. On December 20 she gave us twins – a doe and a buck. Four Z’s Miniz Celyn Noelle (Celyn is Welsh for Holly) and Four Z’s Miniz Jingle Bob. Holly and Bob were perfect in every way – in our eyes - and we decided to retain them both. (we ended up losing them both) Angel had no problems delivering these two little bundles of joy as a first-timer, although she is a little temperamental at milking. She likes to either sit on my lap or run her back feet up my chest. When it comes to milking, her name is a misnomer – I call her witchie-poo! But she does give me quite a bit of milk and has a gorgeous udder. Blurry pic - but this is her first freshening udder.
September 26, 2009 Won Reserve Grand Champion Senior Dry Doe at the Hoosier Fall Classic in Greenfield Indiana
Halloween 2009 Gave birth at 3 a.m. to triplets - 2 bucks, 1 doe - sired by Diablo. I missed the birth and we ended up losing one of the bucks - just didn't get his face cleaned off in time. Both surviving kids are beautiful (of course) and thriving. Rosie's name comes from her grandmothers, Parsley & Sage, so naturally Rosemary would be next.

Angel blessed us with a set of triplets, 2 bucks 1 doe, sired by Toby. The first little guy out (Ajax - under Jasper) weighed just 1 pound 14 ounces, followed by his sister (June Bug - standing) weighing in at 3 pounds 14 ounces, and last but not least his brother (Jasper - on top of Ajax) weighed in at 2 pounds 3 ounces. All are healthy and doing great - and spoiled to say the least. As it is fall, we've decided to wait until spring to make the decision on who to keep.
April 14, 2011 Angel blessed us with quads - unfortunately she's a quiet kidder and an extremely fast kidder. So we lost two of them - we didn't get to the barn in time to help her get them cleaned off. The surviving two are Grace (doe) and Cooper (buck). Grace will be retained and Mr. Cooper will be wethered. Grace and Cooper are pictured here with Dotti's boy (the dark belted one next to the kittens) and several baby kittens. They all decided this was the place to curl up to stay warm.
March 8, 2012 Triplets again - this time 2 does and 1 buck. All three will be retained. The girls are Cinnabun and Shasta and the buck is Deuce (Tobasco II). Kappio Acres Tobasco is the sire.
