Kaapio Acre’s Oragami Quaid purchased
Ori from Deena and Roberta of Kaapio Acre’s in September of 2008.
She was weaning babies at that time and we picked her up at the Fall Show
in
Ori was bred to
our very own Kaapio Acre’s El Rojo Diablo for March babies.
After 150 days she delivered three very healthy babies – one doe and
two bucks. I was really surprised at
their size – but shouldn’t have been considering how huge she got before
their birth. Poor girl was sitting like a
dog for the last few days - had a rough time with laying down. Absolutely
no problems with the delivery - except that she did it at July, 2009
Quaid showed Ori at the Wells County 4-H fair. She took the Champion Senior Doe and Grand Champion Dairy Doe trophies. What a gal! Holding the trophies is our nephew Blake. Thanks Blake! March 7, 2010 Ori gave birth to three gorgeous little doelings. Babies and momma doing great. Luci is the friendliest (course she was first born) then came Lizzi and then Turtle. If you are wondering about the name for Turtle - Quaid didn't want to name them because he plans to sell two of them. Aly held Turtle up and said what's the first thing that pops into your head - so he said Turtle - hence the name Turtle.
On the left is Lizzi and on the right is Turtle
This one, Luci, was hiding behind mom in the top picture. July 2010 Reserve Grand Champion Dairy Doe at the Wells County 4-H Fair

January 2011 Ori gave birth to buck doe twins on the 18th. Ralphie & Hazelle - we decided to keep Hazelle and Ralphie went to a nephew to be his 4-H Wether.
Ralphie is the dark buckskin in the back and Hazzelle is also a buckskin - you just can't tell it yet in this picture.
